#UltimateBeautySocial Presented By African Pride

A Conversation About Black Hair with African Pride

So 2 weeks ago (I’m so behind on my post), I attended the #UltimateBeautySocial  hosted by African Pride. This was an event where African Pride bought in their products but also provided an opportunity for African American women to openly discuss our hair issues and concerns. Some of my readers may not know this, but I have natural hair. Probably because, I never write about this on blog and because I enjoy my different hair weaves. I’ve only been natural for about a year and I am a transitioner  so I had a ton of questions about keeping my hair healthy throughout this time.

This event was hosted by Tamara of Natural Hair Rules, Audrey of The Science of Black Hair, and Shalanda from Live Life In Style.

The other ladies swore by this book. I need to hurry up and start reading it! Audrey, one of the host.

This event was very intimate, only about 25 women were there. This allowed for everyone to share their personal experiences, what works, what doesn’t work, and all around encouragement for whatever your goals are. I’m so glad that I was able to listen to women with both natural and relaxed hair and figure out how we could all work on having healthier hair. I learned about hair products that are already in my kitchen and home remedies for hair problems. This was so helpful!
