I was really late on the Klout train. One of my PR friends was talking to me about blogging and social media, and she randomly asked what was my Klout score? I had no idea what she was talking about! In true form I went straight to Google to find that Klout was “the standard for influence” in social networking. As a blogger, I needed to jump on this immediately!
I signed up for an accout and my score was automtically at a 10! I was so upset, but then I read somewhere that everyone starts at 10 until the can guage your interaction. Slowly but surely, I rose through the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, and, 50’s and now I’m a steady 63.
This was my klout score at one point. |
63 says that I’m a Broadcaster.
You broadcast great content that spreads like wildfire. You are an essential information source in your industry. You have a large and diverse audience that values your content.

Now I’m working on increasing my network past 1000. |
Here is some things I have learned on my Klout journey:
-Tweet things that people are likely to retweet. Klout loves that!
-Post at times your audience is likely to see.
-Add every social media outlet you have.
-Get +K’s from others.
-Add others as your influencers.
-Post pictures.
-Participate in twitter chats.
-I didn’t have this problem but my friend did….Make sure your twitter account is public and people have the option to re-tweet…if not your score will never go up. For real!
