Houston Bloggers Birthday Bash!

A few weeks ago I met Lisa who blogs over at Milehimama. She spoke about her group Houston Blogging Chicks and Houston Bloggers briefly and I went home to look it up! Although, I’m a member of the Houston Fashion Bloggers, I’ve been looking for other blogger groups so that I can expand my networking beyond the fashion blogosphere. I have found the Houston Blogging Chicks and the H-Town Blogger Hotties and I’m truly glad I did!
Last week Houston Bloggers celebrated their one year anniversary with a celebration at The Tasting Room Uptown Park. It was really nice and I had a great time!

I wore black skinny jeans with  my “first love shoe” t-shirt and some red pumps. I was pretty casual.

We had a section of the restaurant blocked off for us!

There was a photo booth and I’m so upset that I didn’t get any pictures! There were far too many people to network with.

Y’all probably don’t know that I’m lactose intolerant. So generally I don’t really eat pizza. This pizza was good though! And you’ve never heard of a college student turning down free food, right?

Of course all the bloggers were tweeting! There was a live tweeting program showing all of our tweets as  we hashtagged #houstonbloggers.

Me and fellow Houston Fashion Blogger Nikki of NW Style & Co.

And these are my new friends Rebekah of Fashion and a Fellow Artee of Artista Loves Art. Aren’t they pretty?

And of course fellow Fashion Blogger Melonie of Fashionable Forty.
This was such a great event! I had no idea of how large the blogging community in Houston was.  Lisa did an amazing job planning this and getting all the bloggers and PR people together. It was good time indeed. I’ll definitely be enlisting her help for my one year bash in January.
Have you been to any blogger parties lately?
