5 Reasons Why You Need A Tulle Tutu Skirt

Lately, you can’t read a single fashion blog without seeing a post of a tulle skirt tutorial. Well you won’t find one here today! I’m crafty but I’m not that crafty…I prefer doing things the old fashioned way…buying it. Actually, didn’t people use to make their clothing back in the olden day? Well, the way, the requires the least amount of work on my part. This is actually a dress that I thrifted for $12 but it once I belt it looks totally different. I’m sure if you are creative enough you can get the fabric and make your own. Either way having a tulle tutu skirt in your wardrobe is always fun!

5 Reasons You Need A Tulle Tutu Skirt

1. It’s cute. Don’t lie, a part of you loves the extra girly fabric and you are already envisioning the the top you’ll wear with it…Oh…and the shoes, you’re already online searching away.

2. It’s trendy…but not so trendy that everyone will have one. The tulle tutu skirt trend is popular right now, but its not that popular. No one is calling it the “seasons must have”, it’s sort of reserved for those who are ahead of the fashion curve.

3.It’s lightweight…perfect for summer. There are so many fashion possibilities here…dress it up or dress it down. Heel or Flats. Dare I even say you wearing it to the beach? Yes, you can do that! I can’t…but only because I can’t swim.

4. It’s a statement piece. When I wore this to the Saks Prom Dress Event, I hosted last month, I left the necklace off. This skirt alone is enough to draw attention to me and my fabulous sense of style; simple accessories compliment this very well.

5.Because it will bring out your inner five year old. Most of us dreamed of being ballerinas when we were younger and the fact that you can wear tulle in your adult life and not look crazy, will have you jumping around like your teacher just announced that it was snack time. Tulle tutu skirts for the win!
