Today I will be flying for the second time. My first time flying was to California to participate in the Barbie Collector Advisory Panel. I wanted to share some tips on how you can look awesome at the airport.

Nobody wants to wait behind you in the airport while you remove your earrings, necklace, bangles, bellybutton ring, anklet, tongue ring–or whatever body jewelry you are have on. And you are destined to set off the alarms when walking through the body scanner. Don’t wear a belt either…those are annoying.

It’s so annoying when everyone is walking around the airport with ugg boots, velour track suits, and a messy bun. You need to wear a comfortable outfit but still look nice.

You have to take off bulky jackets and sweatshirts anyway, so it’s best to not wear them. If you a prone to being cold wear a t-shirt with a nice cardigan. Pair that with a pair of leggings or a comfy pair of jeans.

We aren’t all flying first class like Kim K. and Lady Gaga, so there is no need to wear your best stilettos around the airport. You are going to have to take them off when going through security and you may have to sprint to your terminal if you are running behind. Remember to wear socks or pack some in your purse…the airport floor is disgusting.

This will be the cherry on top of your awesome outfit and you are bound to get tons of compliments from everyone!
