Twenty years ago today a fabulous young lady was born…and that young lady was me! Today I celebrated two decades of fabulousness and it has been great! I did have to go in to work but everyone was so happy that it was my birthday. Everyone stopped by my desk to offer warm hugs and well wishes. My fabulous boss took me and the rest of the development team to lunch at McCormick and Schmick’s.
This was my first time at this restaurant and I need to come back for dinner. (This is the perfect date place ladies, just make sure he has some extra cash, because dinner entrees start at $20 and go up from there.) When we were ordering, I noticed that they had printed “Happy Birthday Taylor” at the top! It was so nice!
My boss convinced me to try Calamari for the appetizer and I had no idea it was squid! Sick! I ordered shrimp and fries and it was pretty delicious. Then for dessert I had a gigantic piece of chocolate cake.
Today was pretty great, but the real fun will be on Saturday when I have my birthday party!
Today is also Juneteenth, a day that celebrates African Americans in Texas finding out that they were free. Not really sure why we would celebrate finding out after everyone else that the slaves had been free. But Juneteenth is my birthday and anytime I can celebrate is a time I cherish. Happy Juneteenth!
Happy Birthday to Me!
