Quick Treats for Valentine’s Day
First of all, sorry for the inconsistent posting, I’m working on a site redesign and a move to WordPress, so, when I’m “working on my blog”…sometimes that means I’m not writing, even though I’m doing things for my site. But, I digress. Do you remember my to-do list for 2013 that I shared earlier this year? Well learning to cook (even if its out of the box), was on that list. And I’m excited to say, that I’ve been in the kitchen! I shared my taco recipe on the blog already, but please don’t think this will be the last of me cooking on the blog. I’m really excited to start making things in the kitchen, its kind of fun…even though it get’s kind of hot in there. (I love being cold.) I’m the girl who can’t cook pancakes, who ruins box cakes, and considers it a miracle if half of her fries are not frozen on the inside. I know, it’s bad. My friend Loren is a chef, yes, “white coat, white hat, can make anything without a recipe” chef. She has been helping me to understand my way around the kitchen. Here are some things we have worked on in the last week alone!
Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Ingredients: Strawberries, Coating Chocolate, and Sprinkles. Directions: Warm up the chocolate in the microwave for 25-30 seconds and dip the strawberry into it. If you desire, add sprinkles! |

This is a box cake! But I didn’t ruin it this time! |
Homemade Rice Krispy Treats
I’m learning that you don’t have to be a chef to make things taste good and look good, as long as you to take time and put in effort you should most of the time come out with a good product. These are really simple quick treats for Valentine’s Day. You have time to practice!
