What I’m Watching & Outfit Inspiration: Cadillac Records

I have a month of from school and two weeks off from work. I’m relishing in the fact that I can read books and watch TV, without having to work on a project or get up early in the morning for work. I’ve been reading books and watching movies non-stop, so there will probably alot of What I’m Watching or Literary Lust post coming up these next few weeks.

I’ve seen this movie a handful of times and it’s a very powerful story of  black music from the 1940’s to the 1960’s in Chicago. Beyonce played Etta James in the film. The first time I saw this movie, I fell in love with the song “All  Could Do Was Cry”. I’ve never been in love or lost a significant other to someone else, but the way she sang, just made you feel her pain.

When I watched it recently, I fell in love with the vintage green dress that Beyonce wore while she sang! I’ve been inspired to get a dress like that. Where I’m going to wear it too, or where I’m going to get it from, I haven’t figured out.
