A Love Letter to My Dog, #NationalDogDay

Doggie-Love-Letter-Sparkle-Posh-Pup

Dear Sparkle,

Thank you so much. I don’t know if you know it but you have changed my life. You came into my life at one of my darkest points and have been a constant ray of sunshine ever since.

Thank you for being patient with me. I haven’t ever had a dog that I was solely responsible for. I’ve always have help. So when I didn’t know what food to get you or the right flea medication you let me experiment until we found one you liked and one I could afford. Even when I forgot to buy you food, you still loved me. I guess, the leftover chicken fettuccine wasn’t too bad. 😉

Thank you for teaching me. I know I’m not there yet. I have a lot more to learn. You taught me the importance of taking out the trash (so you don’t eat it), putting up my shoes (so you didn’t eat them), getting up even earlier than I already do (so you didn’t use it in the house), and the importance of having fun no matter (because you always are).

Thank you for letting me dress you in whatever silly outfit I find on sale. You always look so cute!! Your pink paws and nail polish are absolutely adorable and you have such an amazing personality. One day, when you are a famous dog model (which is soon), you’ll thank me for keeping you well groomed and well dressed!

Last but not least, thank you for loving me. Unconditionally. Non-Stop. No matter what I did or didn’t do, you always greet me the same, excited and full of kisses. You never have a bad day.

I’m forever grateful for my mommy for bringing you into my life and I’m forever grateful to you for being you.

Love you lots.

Mom.
