Big Fat Summer Challenge: Bikini Swimsuit

This will be my second to last post in the Big Fat Summer Challenge sponsored by Jennifer of Jasifer’s Lion Club. I’m getting sadder as the 31st of July draws near and I won’t be able to participate in this challenge after its over.
It’s embarrassing to say that I have nearly 20 swimsuits (all acquired in those awesome after summer sales) and I have only worn maybe four of them. Some of them are bikinis, other are mono-kinis, and a few are plain one pieces. Part of the reason I don’t really care for bikini swimsuits is because my stomach is my main problem area. I generally only wear bikinis around very close friends and family. While in New Orleans, I went to the pool, (even though I can’t swim and have had 3 near drowning experiences), to hang out with some friends. The night time was a perfect time for showcase my swimsuit without feeling super self-conscious.
This swimsuit is from Forever 21. My top is a small and the bottoms are a large. Each piece is $4.50 for a grand total of $9! What a deal, right?
Have you worn a bikini this summer?

  1. Thanks Jennifer! This is an amazing challenge, and I’m glad I could have participated. I have definitely come a long way since struggling with an eating disorder but some days I still see the same person. Challenges like this where woman are all coming together to promote positive body image really excite me! Thanks for letting me participate
