Last Thursday, I was invited to a day of day camp and grooming at the new Brixton Pet Health facility in Katy, Texas, just west of Houston. Brixton is a full-suite pet facility that offers boarding, grooming, and veterinary services in one location. Unlike other facilities that just watch and wash your pup, Brixton Pet Health offers posh grooming services (you know I love posh) such as quick shampoos and pampering with massages, whitening and brightening treatments, shedicures, nail care (including nail polish…I got pink nails) and accommodations such as doggy day camp, doggy suites, kitt condos, pet web cams and even a night time story for when your pet stays overnight.
When we walked in my human was amazed at all of the things in the retail section, she loves shopping for me and she purchased me some yummy doggie donuts, while we got checked in. There are adorable beds for doggies (and kitties), treats, and mugs and other knick-knacks for the pet lovers.
There is also a refreshment center for humans to grab a complimentary coffee or water, my mom took one, because the Houston heat is killer!
Brixton works with a local animal shelter to host kitties inside of the facility who are looking to be adopted. It’s a really nice way to help the community.
There is also a play area for kids, complete with game packed iPads…I wish I had thumbs!
The grooming center is nice and clean, unlike other places I’ve been too. The groomer was very nice to me and helped me to smell fresh for my take home bath. My human loved the shampoo they used! Oh and she did my nails! I’ve never had my nails done…this wont be the last time that I get this service!
My grandparents generally watch me when I’m out of town, but if I can’t stay with them, I want to stay here! The upgraded doggy suite has a TV, pictures on the wall, and you can bring your toys! There is even a webcam where you check in on your pup while you are away.
This is the regular doggy suite, no TV, but still very nice and clean.
What doggie facility do you know with a kitchen? Yep, Brixton! They can give your doggie whatever special meal you provide and they will keep all of your food and treats safe…you know I don’t want anything to happen to my food!
There is a washer and dryer too for clean linen. I love how my blanket feels when its fresh out of the dryer!
And here is my favorite place at Brixton…THE PLAY ROOM! I played all day (until it was time for my bath and polish session). I loved that there were slides and little obstacles that I could play on. I had a blast times two and I made a lot of new friends! I came home and could barely eat dinner, I was so wore out, but I want to come back again!
