Robbins Brothers Diamonds and Desserts Recap!!

Diamonds and Dessert Six

Last month, I was invited to attend the annual event, Diamonds and Desserts at Robbins Brothers. This was my second time attending and of course I had a fabulous time. Bloggers, media, and fashionistas were invited to attend this event that benefitted Girls Inc. here in Houston. Guest were to bring any extra handbags or accessories so that those items could be sold to profit the programs benefitting young girls.

There were lots of my blogger buddies in the store and some old pals who I hadn’t seen in a while like Dahlia of Drama Scene Magazine. It was so good to catch up with her! She’s pregnant with a boy! How beautiful!

Diamonds and Desserts Four

We chatted, tried on rings, and indulged in the delicious diamond cookies (edible glitter, yes!!) before there was a presentation from the Girls Inc Staff and then giveaways from Robbins Brothers. You know how I always win, when I attend blogger events? I can never seem to win when I’m at Robbins Brothers.  Some very lucky girls won diamonds and autographed copies of an inspirational book.

24After the program and throughout the rest of the evening we enjoy a fashion presentation of Chloe Dao’s wedding and bridesmaids collections. Chloe spoke about loving to help out such an awesome organization such as Girls Inc. The dresses were indeed gorgeous and the models were so tall and pretty. I’m so glad I had on my big girl heels (6 inches) or else I would have looked like a shorty next them.  The shoes were perfect for standing next to the models but when I took my picture with fashion designer Chloe Dao, I was towering over her.

The event as always was awesome and I can’t wait to attend next year. It’s such an awesome thing to be able to come together and enjoy yourself while helping others. Oh yeah, I did try on a $35,000 ring while there…then I got sad because I don’t have a boyfriend or any prospects. Lol I’m over it now. To see the beautiful ring I tried on visit my instagram profile.

Do you like diamonds? (Of course you do!) What’s your favorite cut? Do you like color? Let’s talk jewels!
