Dolls and Discovery!

Let me start off with my discovery–The Blogger App! Now I have no excuse to not blog, because i can blog on the go! The formatting is a lot less structured and the pictures are placed under all the text, but I can always go online and edit online before I publish! Be looking for even more post now! I’m really excited about the app!

So yesterday I attended my first doll club meeting with the First Houston Doll Club. I had no idea what to expect! But it was not what I expected. First off all the lady’s were at least forty years older than me and secondly these ladies are collectors in the truest sense- their collections put mine to shame! But it was great experience! Everyone was so nice to me and welcoming! They all collect a variety of dolls and they hold a program and province refreshments each meeting. These women were so sweet and it’s nice to be surrounded my women who are experienced and established. And where else am I going to find people who love dolls as much as I do?

The meeting was held at a member name LaNell’s home. First of all her home was huge and it was gorgeous! She collects antique dolls, doll heads, plates, mini shoes, and plates! She has over 3000 dolls in her collection!

I was fearing rain (but it never came) so I wore my rain boots from Ross and a magenta dress from Forever 21. Check out pictures below:
