Disclosure: I received a free tee from Gold Paw to facilitate this review.
Temperatures have been over 100 degrees here in Houston even through the month of September! Those are dangerous temperatures for people and pups like me. . Did you know dogs can get sunburned? Yes, especially, white or light, dogs like me, who have very fair skin under our fur. But all of us dogs have sensitive areas that are prone to sun damage. That is why I love my new Sun Shield Tee from Gold Paw! It is the perfect light weight top that gives me my fashionable flair, but still keeps me safe.
This tee is made of silky, light-weight jersey material that its UPF50, which means it blocks 98% of the sun’s UV rays. This tee is really comfortable, I can wear inside too without getting irritated or overheated. If you are like me you have sensitive skin, this tee can help with other uses such skin care, wound care, topical medicines, and even an anti-anxiety aid!
These tops are available for a short time. They come in sizes for my big friends and little friends in fun colors such as Royal Heather, Fuchsia Heather (thats the one I have), and Grey Heather!

Pierre needs one of these shirts after his visit to the groomers.
This is a great idea especially for short haired dogs.
Brilliant
Mr. N loves his sun shield tee too. They have a store in our city that we visit every now and then.
What a wonderful idea! My daughters dog is white and she keeps him fairly short in the summer because of the heat, but then she has to worry about sunburn. I love this!!!
This looks really great. We live in Phoenix, so I understand the hot temps! This is the first week we will be under 100. So happy! Here’s to cooling off. Thanks for letting us know about this tee!
I love the idea of sun protection in the dog clothing!
That sure is a pretty sunshield tee.
What a great product, super cute too! This would be especially helpful when I get my little dog Phoebe groomed short for Summer.
Love & biscuits,

Thanks for the info on the fashionable yet practical Summer T-shirt to protect dogs from the heat and sun =) Great idea!
I love when fashion meets function and this is the case here. Great product I need to check out.
Does it deflect the sun, too? I guess it acts kind of like the shields that people put on their car dashboards when it’s hot? My corgis don’t have the fair skin problems, but they do get awfully hot under all their fur. It’s great that Sparkle can go outside without the risk of a burn!
Wow – I knew dat dey made dis type of shirt for my parents, but not for us dogs! I gotta get one for my sister!
You sure are looking amazing in that! It is always great finding wonderful products! Thanks for sharing! 😉
We have a fleece coat from Gold Paw that helps keep my Maltese warm in the winter. She seems to love it!
Summer is coming in Australia, so this is timely and I’ve shared it via Pinterest & Twitter as well. Annette x
Summer is coming here, so I’ve shared to Pinterest & Twitter as well.

Thanks for sharing! I am always interested in new cooling products as Arizona can be so harsh in the summer. We call the coat sun burn, sun bleach here 🙂
