It’s the 25th Anniversary of the Houston Children’s Festival! Oh, you didn’t know? The Houston Children’s Festival, presented by Baker Hughes, is only the largest children’s festival in the nation! It will be held here in Houston for two days, April 6 and 7 from 10:30 am until 6:30pm . The festival generally yields crowds close to 50,000 plus each year and this year is no different.
The Houston Children’s Festival provides fun and educational family friendly fun.There are over 300 activities available as well as exciting entertainment. One of the big name who will be making an appearance is Victoria Justice from Nickelodeon’s show Victorious! She will be at the festival for Q& A as well as a public meet and great on the 7th. Other cool people who will be present are: Dora The Explorer, SID from PBS’ SID The Science Kid, and Laura Marano from Disney’s Austin and Lilly! Make sure your camera…I’m certain your kids will want to snap pictures with their favorite TV characters!
The best part of this festival is that it benefits Child Advocates and has raised over 4 million dollars for this awesome organization to date! What a great way to give back and have some family friendly fun as well!

Very cool! We live just outside of Houston, so we may try to head into the city to check this one out! My boys are 10 & 12, so they might be “too cool” for the festival, but I’m going to drag them anyway! LOL!
