Life Update–I think I’m back!

Wow–I’m not sure who is still reading but Google Analytics said there are a few dozen people who come back and visit–THANK YOU! I’ve taken quite the hiatus and it was totally unintentionally. I’ve always been open about my personal life and things I’ve been going through but this last break–I really took the time to just focus on rebuilding myself. I feel better. I’ve lost some weight, lost some negative people, lost some extra responsibilities, and gained a whole new rejuvenated person.

So what’s been up:

I turned 27 in June. For people who started reading my blog in 2011 (I was 19), you all have seen me grow and although the journey had some rough spots–it has actually been beautiful.

My event planning business is doing well and I added travel planning services as well. When I was on hiatus I was totally hustling for my business. 2018 was on the best years yet for my business and I’m so glad to have taken time to focus on that part of my life. Adding travel planning really was just a perfect fit. I don’t feel overwhelmed with it at all. In fact, some of the stuff I was already doing. Now I just get a little check a few weeks later from the hotels and airlines.

I got over $27,000 in student loans forgiven–now I owe $3,500 in taxes. I guess thats an equal trade-off. Lol

I got another new car. Lol, I’m not sure where we are on this blog with the cars that I had. But I bought a 2019 Buick Encore a few weeks ago.

I got another new job. I had one that was making me sick–literally so I’ve taken another job that I enjoy but that is also less stressful to focus on figuring out what I really want to be doing.

I got baptized again! Yes, for the second time. The last one was wearing off. Lol just kidding. But I really did feel the need to just rededicate myself to Christ after all I’ve been through. It was an awesome experience.

This is a late post but I got re-baptized in June! My relationship with Christ began very early in my life. I was first baptized in 1999 I remember being so excited about being baptized and yes I understood my decision. I’ve decided to rededicate my life to Christ because although I was aware of my decision, I wondered if I truly chose Christ or if He was all I knew at the time. Now 20 years later, I have experienced loss, lack, health problems, failure, and a host of tribulations. I have even had a brief moment where I tried to not be a Christian and I always came back to Christ. I choose Christ then and I choose him now. And yes, I got emotional at the end.😭😭 #BaptizedAtHigherD . . . . . . . .  #blackgirlmagic #blackbloggers #bloggers #mentalhealth #relationships

I’ve made a lot of changes and gone through lots of different things but I think this is all part of the journey. I’m feeling better than ever and I’m excited for what’s next. I missed y’all!
