I’m not a beauty blogger. I don’t even know how to put on a face full of makeup. I just mastered the art of a straight eyeliner, two years ago. (I’m going to be 24 this year by the way). What I do enjoy is dressing up. I love putting on cute outfits, the highest heels I can stand, and accessorizing with excessive amounts of pink. Pink purses, pink shoes, oh and of course a pink lip. I don’t wear a lot of makeup so the products that I do wear have to be bold and bright!   I’ve been a long time fan of Burt’s Bees lip balm. It has kept me from having dry and crusty lips many ‘a times, so I was SUPER excited to find out that they’ve come out with a new lipstick line. Just like their lip balms, the lippies keep your lips moisturized and hydrated are 100% natural. I know when I’ve gotten my makeup done before, I have felt like the makeup was heavy but this lipstick is so creamy and lightweight, you can wear it either day or night and not feel like you have a ton of product on your lips. Because my color is pink, I had to figure out which shade was best for me. Burt’s has four shades in the pinkish family and I love them all BUT Fuschia Flood is my absolute favorite! It’s perfect for my skin tone, just bold enough but not crazy looking.  Magenta Rush would be my second favorite because that “berry” kind of color is still very much on trend and can transition form our “winter” to spring very easily. Lipstick is the perfect accessory for a couple of reasons:

1. You just put it on, no clipping, closing, or fastening needed.
2. Easy to transport-put it in your purse, clutch, or pocket…but don’t leave it in your car.
3. It brightens your face.
4. Colors in the red and pink family make your teeth look whiter. Who doesn’t want that?
5. It’s fun!! Lipstick is so easy to try on and play around with.

When I had to attend a gala recently, I needed a bold lip to finish off my outfit I rocked my new Fuschia Flood color. It was the perfect accessory to complete my outfit…I felt sassy but still like myself. Gosh, I really love this color!

I’m no guru but I do like to look good and I love to share great products like Burt’s Bees with my readers.
