I’ve always wanted to attend a speed painting and wine class but for some reason it never worked out for me! I was beyond excited to be invited to invited to a Blogger Party/ Media Preview at the Woodlands store. Painting with a Twist is the original painting and wine concept and was started by Cathy and Renee, who are both former residents of Louisiana. While they were stay at home moms they came up with this concept and eventually were able to franchise their idea. Kermie is the franchisee of the Woodlands store where the blogger party was held. Everyone was so welcoming. We had wine, water, and yummy food, which really helped us to relax while painting.
This was kind of hard for me as I’m no aritst. I was so nervous about messing up and the art teacher kept coming by giving me pointers…I thought for sure my painting would be a disaster, however, it turned out really good! The attendants give you good advice on how to paint and techniques to use to make your painting look its best. They assure that there is no “wrong answer” when you are painting and helped me conceal a few errors I made. I’m thankful for their help. My painting would have looked a hot mess without them.
I’m so pleased with my painting! It’s such masterpiece to me. It’s really exciting to have completed something like this, when you have absolutely no art training whatsoever. Although, it looks slightly different from everyone else’s the overall concept was achieved. Everyone tried to change up the painting a bit to show of their individuality, so I wasn’t alone there.
Thank you to Fishman PR and the entire Painting With a Twist Team for such a memorable experience!

Thanks!! It’s so fun! I didn’t think it would be this fun and I didn’t even have that much wine. Lol If I had a little more to drink, I’d probably have a ton of fun!
Wow, beautiful stuff, l. The tone, the atmosphere, and the, I guess you’d call it “slantedness: of the painting actually reminds me of the Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh.
It was super fun! If you ever have a chance to participate, you should!!
