Peek into my Place: The Kitchen

How to use contact paper to brighten upi your ktichen.
When I first moved into my apartment I cried. It was nothing like the model I saw. It looked old and there were bugs! I cried alot and I was tempted to move back to my old apartment I couldn’t afford or back home with my parents. My mom was so mad she threatened to call and report them and she wanted all my money back. After a good lashing out, I came back 3 days later, to a cleaner and better apartment than what I had seen before. I live in a not so good part of town, but I can afford it and I have my shotgun ( LOL), and I know this is only temporary  until after college graduation. I can’t afford luxury condos on my college budget-but I know it’ll come soon enough. But while I’m waiting, I have to make the best out of my situation.

I moved into my apartment in May and I’m still not done decorating. Things are finally getting put into their proper places and I’m ready to share how my apartment…affectionately named:
The Pretty Pink Place looks.

Decorating A Small Kitchen on a Budget:

This is how my kitchen looked at first. I’ve since got a new refrigerator and a new dishwasher so you may notice those differences in the new pictures.

I wanted to brighten up my kitchen so I put colorful sayings everywhere.
In a small apartment, you find storage where you can, and underneath the counter is my craft cabinet.
I love these polka dot stickers!
I lined my cabinets with this contact paper.

Here is how my kitchen looks now. I’m washing my hand towels that are on the stove, so they are missing,
I got these stickers and contact paper from Dollar Tree–yes that mean’s I only paid one dollar for each set! I bought 2 sheets of letters and 3 rolls of contact paper…five dollars and some change, helped me to make my kitchen a much more fun and brighter place.

What have you decorated around the house lately?

  1. Oh I love how you made your kitchen your own!!! I think my favorite is the contact paper; that looks awesome and I’d like to try that on my own kitchen. Thanks for the tip Taylor 🙂
