Last week I had the opportunity to attend an invite only advanced screening of Oxygen’s hit show, Preachers of LA. Now if you know me or if you follow me on Twitter, you know I love me a good reality show! I watched Preachers of LA last season and I loved it. I’ve been in church all my life ( my dad was a deacon, before becoming a youth pastor), so I know all about the church life. We weren’t driving around in Mercedes or living in large mansions last night, so I don’t relate to that part, but you know. Lol The event was held at AMC Gulf Pointe 30, which I had no idea of where it was. Luckily, I took my mommy (she’s a huge fan of the show) and my sister to help me find the way.
The episode was everything! I watched it again on the 20th. These preachers are a mess, but in a good way. I really like Dietrick’s storyline and I love how he says that he is not perfect. As Christians sometimes, its easy to say what is right and act holier than thou but we are all human! Even the Bible says that we have all sinned and fallen short. I think the first episode did a really good job of bringing this up for the season, not just in Dietricks’ case, but in the case of the other preachers as well. I’m really excited about the new season. And I hope to live tweet the next episode!
Thanks Oxygen for a lovely event and for producing this awesome show!

I am so in love with THE PREACHERS OF LA! I really like the way the show gives a human side to the Pastors that society holds up so high.
