Ruggles Green!

Ruggles Green City Centre
Last night I attended the Ruggles Green Houston Blogger Event. It was organized by Brenda of  Real Houston Housewife. and the Ruggles Green Liaison,  Lydia Smith. At the event we were treated to different healthy and gluten free options that are served at the restaurant as well as informed on how Ruggles maintains its title as the Greenest Restaurant in Texas.
We were treated to some very delicious items such as:
Plantains and Humus

 Hemp-anadas!

Dairy-Free Pizza!

Hemp Brownies!

I also got the scoop:
-The West Alabama location of Ruggles Green was the first certified green restaurant in 2008, now there are over 1200 in the US.
-The City Centre location of Ruggles Green is the greenest restaurant in Texas, and the third greenest in the US
-The new Sugarland location will be the greenest restaurant in the whole world!
-There will be grand opening for the Sugarland location in September and the Heights location in November.
-There is possibly going to be a Cypress or Bellaire location of Ruggles Green.

These temporary tattoos were so fun!

The restaurant has such a clean and crisp layout! You can tell that its an environmentally friendly place by the amount of windows and the lighting used!

Ruggles Green is certified by the Green Restaurant Association, they get points for recycling, solar use, energy conservation, water conservation, vegetarian menu options, gluten free options, and using local suppliers. The majority of their points comes from their water and energy conservation.

It wouldn’t be a blogger event without swag bags! Inside were lots of goodies, including The Go Local Houston card, which is worth thousands of dollars in discounts in coupons!

One of my sponsors were there as well! Tania of Mama Mantras.
This is a plain brown dress that I’ve had for a while. I’m pretty sure it was from the kids section at Wal-Mart.
I had a great time at this event! You guys should definitely stop by one of their locations.
