It’s November and if it’s not already cold in your city, it’s getting there (Houston is always behind y’all.) The colder months are officially cuffing season, when all the lonely  singles are trying to find someone to cuddle up  be in a relationship with. People who are generally loving the single life are now going on dates like their life depends on it. You may think I’m joking but people really don’t want to be alone when it’s cold outside. I’ve had my fair share of dates both successful and failures so I’ve created a list of my essentials that get me through date nights during cuffing season.

Taylor’s Brione Date Night Purse Essentials:

Cell Phone with charging case This goes without saying. It’s 2015 so most people know not to leave home without a cell phone but leaving your charger or charging case is easy to do. Don’t make that mistake! Date night with dead phone is quite horrible! You don’t have to be on the phone during your date but if you need to quickly check the time, call an Uber, use ApplePay, or calculate the tip then you’ll be out of luck.

Emergen-C Cuffing season just so happens to be the same time as cold and flu season. You don’t want to catch any cooties so keep some Emergen-C packets in your purse just in case the guy is icky or if just feel something in the air. No one will know you are boosting your immune system you’ll just look like a woman making healthy choices and cutting out fatty sodas and juices. It’s important to make health decisions even if you are on a date, be healthy for every part of life.

Mints Bad breath is the worst. You don’t want it to be your breath so keep them in your purse for after dinner.  And if his breath is kind of bad (you know this is the last date you’ll go on with him)  you can politely offer a mint and take one to so he doesn’t get offended.

Nexium 24HR Even though I hate going on dinner dates, I always end up there ordering some big hearty meal. Chile, I didn’t think you could get heartburn at 23 years old but it doesn’t discriminate! It’s best to just take one before you head out for the date so that you don’t get all irritable towards the end of the meal.  Just one day. All-day, all night frequent heartburn protection. (May take 1 to 4 days for full effect. Use as directed)

Tissue These are so multi-purpose that you’d be a fool to leave home without them. Need to clean your seat off? No paper towels in the bathroom? Something stuck on the bottom of your show? Nose running? Just keep these in your purse just because they will come in handy!

Hand Sanitizer Remember it’s cold season too. Germs are EVERYWHERE. Wash your hands and use hand sanitizer too. You can never be too careful.

Cash You may need to tip the valet or the cute little hole in the wall you go to after dinner may not accept cards. You really shouldn’t be paying for anything on your date but just keep a hot $20 with you just in case.

ChapStick Total Hydration Have you ever gone on a date with someone with chapped lips? I have and chile and I could concentrate on was his dry lips! When he tried to kiss me good night I ducked like I was running from Floyd Mayweather.  Please don’t let that be you. I know our date night purses are usually small so there is only room for the essentials.
